Spring has sprung and I have been in the garden doing yard clean up and Spring planting. Believe me, gardening is a work out and you work up an appetite. I have a 1.5 acre property with lots of trees and shrubs. I have been picking up sticks, cleaning out garden beds, and cutting back dead ends on shrubs.
After a long morning in the garden I needed a snack. I love cheese and crackers but was looking for something more flavorful with a fresh taste. Something about being out in the garden made me crave some garden ingredients like basil and strawberries. I love goat cheese but, if it is too bold for you cream cheese works well with this recipe too.
The Basil Goat Cheese is really easy to make. You take 2 ounces goat cheese and cream it together with a heaping teaspoon of dried basil and it is ready. Spread the goat cheese mixture onto the RITZ® crackers. Simply slice a handful of strawberries and place on top of the basil goat cheese and enjoy your snack!
The buttery cracker, the bold goat cheese, the robust basil, and the fresh burst of strawberry all work so well together in this snack. I promise, you will love it.

Basil Goat Cheese and Strawberry RITZ® Crackers
Ingredients
2 oz. goat cheese
1 tsp dried basil
5 strawberries, sliced
10 RITZ® crackers
Directions
Mix together the goat cheese and basil.
Spread goat cheese mixture onto RITZ® crackers.
Top with sliced strawberries.
Sprinkle with dried basil for extra flavor.
Enjoy!
