Coconut Vanilla Latte

Coconut Vanilla Latte

Coffee with coconut oil is actually pretty tasty if you do it right. It also gives you more energy than a regular cup of coffee. There a few methods to this coconut oil coffee madness on the internet. One method is just melting the oil in your coffee which leaves you with just oily coffee. Another method is putting your coffee in a blender with coconut oil and blending to get a nice frothy finish. I am adding my method to the mix and I think you will really like it. Especially if you really love coffee.

We take coffee pretty seriously around here. When my espresso machine died it was a sad day that was quickly soothed by our French Press. When we discovered how to quickly froth milk in our French Press a whole new world of coffee making opened up to us. My Keurig and French Press replaced the void the espresso machine left in our coffee routine. We also have a percolator but I will spare you that love affair for another post.

So back this coffee. Coconut oil and coffee is good but I wanted something more creamy and dreamy. That was it. I needed cream. I also wanted to give it more flavor so a half ounce of vanilla syrup did the trick. Since I am only frothing the half & half and coconut oil I use my French Press. If you have a small blender than use it. I have a big blender and anything less than 8 ounces is not worth it. Especially the clean up.

Bonus! Using the French Press is going to give your arm a mini workout.
