Spicy Cheese Crostini

Ingredients for Cheese Crostini Appetizer

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread – Ah, bread: the foundation of this delicious cheese crostini dish. I recommend soft bread like the Italian loaf pictured here or a French baguette. Avoid hard, crunchy bread as this recipe is like a pizza without sauce. Toasting the bread will give it a nice crunchiness to balance out the cheese.
  • 3 Tbs Butter
  • 4 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbs grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp pizza seasoning – If you don’t have Pizza Seasoning you can make some. It is a herb blend of Oregano, Basil, Marjoram, and Granulated Garlic.
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes – This adds a perfect amount of heat.
