Jalapeno Popper Dip with Ritz Crackers

Super Cheesy Jalapeno Popper Dip with Ritz Crackers Crumb Topping for a buttery crunch. Serve with Ritz Crackers, Fritos, or Tortilla Chips.

Jalapeno Popper Dip

This Jalapeno Popper Dip with Ritz Crackers is loaded with so much cheese. It has cream cheese, a Mexican cheese blend, and Parmesan. Toss in some jalapenos and this ultimate cheesy gooey dip packs a spicy punch.

Oh! And before you get to all of that you first must break threw the buttery crunchy crumb topping. Crushed Ritz crackers, melted butter, more Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning makes this crunchy topping the perfect layer before all that cheesy spicy deliciousness.

I love jalapeno poppers but they can be time-consuming to make. Plus I hate cleaning up after deep-frying food. This jalapeno dip with Ritz crackers is ready in under 30 minutes and clean-up is at a minimum.

How to make Jalapeno Popper Dip with a Buttery Ritz Topping

Preheat your oven to 350F. Dice up your jalapenos and spread them evenly on a baking sheet. Roast the jalapenos in the oven for 8-10 minutes then set aside.

Next, raise your oven temperature to 375F. In a mixing bowl cream together the cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic powder until blended through. Next add the Mexican cheese blend, Parmesan cheese, and roasted jalapenos and mix well.

Spread Jalapeno Popper Dip the mixture into an 8×8 baking dish.

Now it is time to make the Ritz cracker crumb topping for the Jalapeno Popper Dip. Take 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers and crush them into crumbs.  In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine Ritz Cracker crumbs, melted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Spread the Ritz cracker crumb mixture evenly over the top of the jalapeno popper dip.

Bake for 15-17 minutes.

Jalapeno Popper Dip

For this recipe, I used fresh garden jalapenos. Thanks, to the guy at work who planted a bunch of jalapeno plants and had more jalapenos than he knew what to do with.

I used 6 large jalapenos. The jalapeno-to-cheese ratio was great but if you want to add in an extra jalapeno go for it!  Dice the jalapenos and spread them evenly on a baking sheet. Roast them in a 350-degree oven for about 10 minutes. This brings out a lovely jalapeno flavor and the seeds get toasted.

We didn’t find the dip too spicy. The cream cheese and sour cream cool down the spice of jalapenos. I don’t recommend removing the ribs.

Storing Leftovers

The Ritz Cracker topping will get soft but it is still worth saving. Cover with aluminum foil or transfer to a container with a lid and refrigerate. The dip holds up for about 3 days.
