Ingredients

  • 10 oz blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves strawberry, fig, or cherry

Instructions

  1. Beat blue cheese and butter at a medium speed until fluffy.

  2. Add flour, poppy seeds and cayenne pepper and continue to beat until combined.

  3. Roll dough into 1 inch disks and place on a ungreased tray/cookie sheet. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  4. Space disks out on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press your thumb into the middle of the disks leaving an indentation.

  5. Heat oven to 350 F. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden.

  6. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

  7. Fill indentations with fruit preserves such as strawberry, cherry or fig.

Recipe Notes

If your indentations puffed up during the baking process use the back of a small spoon to press the indentation back down.
