Grilled Mozzarella and Spaghetti Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 single serving of spaghetti noodles cooked
  • 1 single serving of spaghetti sauce heated
  • 2 slices of frozen Texas Toast Garlic Bread
  • 3-4 slices of fresh mozzarella room temperature
  • 2-4 basil leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon of butter.

Instructions

  1. Place 2 slices of frozen Texas Toast in the oven and heat them as directed.
  2. Mix spaghetti noodles with spaghetti sauce.
  3. Heat butter in a rimmed skillet that has a lid on medium heat.
  4. Once the Texas Toast is done place Mozzarella on both pieces of toast.
  5. Add spaghetti and basil leaves to the bottom piece of toast and then top with the remaining toast.
  6. Transfer to the skillet.
  7. Grill the sandwich on each side for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately
  9. *If your cheese isn't melted then remove the skillet from the heat and place the lid on the skillet.
  10. Let sit for 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Recipe Notes

Start with room temperature Mozzarella.
The toast coming out of the oven will be hot and will start to melt the cheese.
If your cheese does not melt place lid over the skillet and remove from heat. Let the sandwich sit in the skillet for a few minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
Because mozzarella slices can vary in thickness and if the method above is not working place in the microwave for 30 seconds.
