Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies

This Bourbon Chocolate Chip cookie recipe is made with bourbon for an extra rich flavor.

Ingredients

  • cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened (not melted)
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon bourbon vanilla extract
  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels or chopped pieces from a bar.

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  2. In a stand mixer beat together butter and sugars until creamy.

  3. Add in vanilla, bourbon, one egg at a time, and continue to beat the mixture.

  4. Gradually mix in flour mixture.

  5. Once well-combined fold in mini morsels with a wooden spoon.

  6. Drop rounded tablespoon-sized dough onto a baking mat or an ungreased cookie sheet.

  7. Bake for 8-9 minutes at 375°F.

  8. Let cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet then transfer to a cooling rack.

  9. Store in an airtight container.

Recipe Notes

You can also bake cookies on a nonstick baking mat.
While baking I set the unused cookie dough in the fridge to keep it cool.
You can freeze left over cookie dough.
