Homemade Baked Fish Sticks

More healthy than the frozen stuff. These Easy Homemade Baked Fish Sticks are worth it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cod fish cut into sticks
  • 1/2 cup pastry flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbs butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper fish.
  2. In a bowl mix flour and garlic powder and set aside.
  3. In another bowl mix melted butter and bread crumbs and set aside.
  4. Whisk eggs and 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl.
  5. One piece at a time dredge fish in flour, shake off excess, dip in egg mixture, then dredge in bread crumbs until coated. Repeat until all fish sticks are coated.
  6. Place a metal cooling rack on top of a baking sheet and spray with a non stick spray.
  7. Place the fish sticks on the rack and bake at 400F. for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
