How to make homemade applesauce. Sweeten to taste.

Ingredients

  • Minimum of 3 apples: peeled cored, and chopped.
  • sugar to taste or omit.
  • cinnamon to taste or omit

Instructions

  1. Place apples in a pot. Add just enough water to cover the apples. Bring to a boil and cook until tender. About 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the water.
  2. Place apples in a food processor and puree. If you want a chunky applesauce use a potato masher and mash until you get your desired consistency.
  3. Add sugar and/or cinnamon to taste.

Recipe Notes

Cinnamon is a strong spice. If you are going to add cinnamon start with 1/8 tsp and add more to taste.
