Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy with Crumbled Bacon

  • 4 strips of bacon.
  • 10 frozen buttermilk biscuits
  • 2 tablespoon bacon grease or butter for brushing the tops of the biscuits
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  1. Cook bacon as directed. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  2. Brush tops of biscuits with bacon grease or butter.
  3. Bake biscuits as directed.
  4. In a mixing bowl combine sugar, cocoa powder, and flour.
  5. Add milk and stir until blended.
  6. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  7. Add chocolate mixture to saucepan.

  8. On low to medium heat cook and stir until sauce has thickened.

  9. Pour chocolate gravy over biscuits.
  10. Sprinkle bacon crumbles on top.
