Chocolate Chip Shortbreads

Cut these cookies into triangles and line them up on a cookie tray or stack them in a gift cookie tin. These classic cookies are holiday staple. It is a simple recipe that tastes amazing.

Cook Time: 17 minutes

Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies



  1. In a stand mixer or with an electric hand mixer beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Add in the flour and salt.
  4. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
  5. Press dough into 9x9 baking pan (ungreased)
  6. Bake at 350F. for 15 -17 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let pan cool.
  8. Slide a knife around the edges and turn cookie out onto a cutting board.
  9. Cut cookie into bars or triangles.

  1. I have been using this recipes for a few years but for that amount of flour and butter, I only use 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and they are sweet enough for me.
