Pudding pops are so good but very basic. I wanted to take my favorite childhood treat and take it up a notch. I wanted to create a pudding pop with an adult flavor. Here is my recipe for Bananas Foster Pudding Pops.
1 Box of Banana Cream instant pudding
2 cups cold milk
Bananas Foster Sauce:
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon dark rum
In a sauce pan melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat and stir.
Cook for about 3 minutes slowly stirring occasionally. The color will darken.
Add dark rum. Remove from heat after 30 seconds.
Prepare pudding as directed on box.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of Bananas Fosters sauce in prepared pudding.
In each pudding mold:
Pour pudding into pop mold 1/4 full.
Spoon in a teaspoon Bananas Foster sauce.
Continue alternating filling mold with pudding and sauce.
Finish filling pop mold with pudding.
Freeze for at least 5 hours before serving.
Makes 6 Pudding Pops
