Brown Sugar Bananas
Brown Sugar Bananas make a delicious topping for sundaes, pancakes, French toast and waffles.
Ingredients
Brown Sugar Bananas
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 large bananas sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
To Make a Sundae
- vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream
- toasted coconut
Instructions

Heat skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.

Add the sliced bananas, brown sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon.

Saute' mixture for about 5 minutes. The sugar should be melted and you have a sauce.

Remove mixture from heat.

Serve immediately while warm over ice cream, pancakes, French Toast, or pound cake.
To make a Brown Sugar Bananas Sundae

Scoop individual servings of ice cream.

Pour desired amount of brown sugar bananas and sauce over the ice cream and top with whipped cream and toasted coconut.
To Toast Coconut

Spread coconut flakes out in a single layer and broil on low for about 2 minutes. Keep an eye on the coconut. It will burn very quickly.
