Quality Pinot Grigio is key to pulling off this gorgeous wine slushie cocktail. My favorite (and affordable) Pinot Grigio is Santa Margherita. It will run you around $20 but so worth it. Another great Pinot Grigio is Attems 2014. It is hard to find and I have to special order it through my wine shop. Keep a look out for it! It has a clean and refreshing flavor.
This cocktail came about by the age old question that comes up at every get-together or party:
I have a well stocked liquor and wine cabinet so I turned to my refrigerator and pulled out all of my possible mixers. I had froze fruit juices in an ice cube tray with cocktails in mind a day earlier. Now that everything was out on my counter we answered the question with, “No, we got this!”And this frozen wine slushie was born!
I brought out the blender, threw in a few ingredients, and with a quick spin of the blades poured a glass. My good friend Brandi, of Charming Grace Events and trusted taste tester approved the cocktail. I present to you: The Pinot Slush.
