Homemade Baked Fish Sticks

I do not like frozen fish sticks, never have. These homemade baked fish sticks don’t even compare. They are that good. I honestly didn’t even want to call them fish sticks. They are not in the same class. So “UP” your fish stick game and make these homemade baked fish sticks tonight for dinner.

I had picked up some Cod at the store and had been meaning to make a roast cod with garlic butter (I should probably blog that too) but, Brandon and the boys had a fish stick craving. I can’t say no to them so homemade baked fish sticks it is!

If you are looking to get away from processed foods this is the best recipe for homemade fish sticks.

Homemade Baked Fish Sticks

Fish

For this recipe I used cod.

  • Thaw fish before preparing the recipe.
  • Pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Slice fish into preferred stick size and thickness ensuring that you are not making them too thin.

Recipe Tips

  • Make this recipe more grown-up by preparing the whole fish filet rather than slicing them into sticks.

These fish sticks are the best-tasting fish sticks EVER. I won’t touch the frozen stuff but these I can get down on. Serve with a side of lemon and some tartar sauce and you are in business!

  1. These were really good and next time instead of cutting the fish into sticks I am just going to bread it as is for a more grown up appeal.
