I had picked up some Cod at the store and had been meaning to make a roast cod with garlic butter (I should probably blog that too) but, Brandon and the boys had a fish stick craving. I can’t say no to them so homemade baked fish sticks it is!
If you are looking to get away from processed foods this is the best recipe for homemade fish sticks.
Fish
For this recipe I used cod.
- Thaw the fish before preparing the recipe.
- Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Slice fish into preferred stick size and thickness ensuring that you are not making them too thin.
Recipe Tips
- Make this recipe more grown-up by preparing the whole fish filet rather than slicing them into sticks.
These fish sticks are the best-tasting fish sticks EVER. I won’t touch the frozen stuff but these are fantastic Serve with a side of lemon and cocktail sauce or tartar sauce.

These were really good and next time instead of cutting the fish into sticks I am just going to bread it as is for a more grown up appeal.
