How Steam Broccoli in the Instant Pot.

Steaming broccoli in the Instant Pot is easy and ready in three simple steps.

  • First, trim broccoli. Remove any thick stems or discolored pieces.
  • Next, add water to your instant pot. Insert the trivet or steamer basket. Add broccoli to the steamer basket and close the lid.
  • Finally, Set the vent to sealing. Then program your instant pot to Manual, High, 0 (zero) minutes.

While the Instant Pot comes to pressure the broccoli will begin to steam. By the time the Instant Pot gets to pressure your broccoli will be perfectly steamed.

Recipe Tips

  • Use an Instant Pot Steamer Basket Insert. If you do not have the steamer basket you can use the metal trivet that came with your instant pot.
  • As soon as your Instant Pot comes to pressure and beeps immediately release the valve to vent.

  • 2 heads broccoli, cut and trimmed

Instructions

  1. Add water to the Instant Pot
  2. Place broccoli florets in a steamer basket or on the trivet.
  3. Close the lid set valve to seal. Set Instant Pot to Manual High Pressure; Zero Minutes.
  4. Once the timer has beeped immediately release pressure.
  5. Remove broccoli, season with salt, pepper and shaved parmesan.
