Cilantro Coleslaw

I don’t normally get excited about coleslaw. Today I got excited. I went to Applebee’s Restaurant and my meal came with a side of coleslaw. It was the best coleslaw I have ever had. For real! The magical ingredient was cilantro. It tasted super fresh. Why haven’t we been putting cilantro in our coleslaw all along.

Coleslaw is a summer cookout staple. It has to be there otherwise your cookout is off balance. All your guests will have a lost empty feeling that they can’t explain. It’s true. Anyway, you have to make this coleslaw. It will blow their minds! The cilantro gives the coleslaw a refreshed flavor. It is like a burst of yum in there mouth. You will get a “Oh Wow” reaction. Trust me!

I am growing cilantro and now I wish I would have dedicated a whole garden bed to it. This coleslaw is that good! I will never make or eat coleslaw without cilantro again! You can’t go back.

There are bagged coleslaw mixes that exclude or include the dressing. You can cut up the cabbage and carrots if you want. You can make your mom’s famous coleslaw or buy KFC’s. The main thing about this recipe is the cilantro. That is a must! Just add it to your coleslaw no matter how it made.
