Copper Mugs for Moscow Mules

I love this cocktail. It has been my favorite all Summer. It is thirst-quenching and easy to drink especially on a hot day. I can drink one after another. Believe me, it is not hard to do. The copper mugs keep the cocktail nice and cold. You don’t need a copper mug but I highly suggest it!

You can buy some copper mugs on Amazon for a reasonable price. There are so many to choose from and there are some really pretty ones too!

Summer slipped by and we are still drinking the Classic Moscow Mule. After months of drinking this cocktail, we have learned that Tito’s Vodka makes that best mule. We also tried a few ginger beers.

We tried out a few different ginger beers and decided on a favorite.

Here are the ginger beers we tried:
Fever-Tree
Stoli’s Ginger Beer
Gosling’s Ginger Beer

We found the higher the sugar content the better Moscow Mule it made. Go figure! Our favorite is Stoli’s. The second (and it was close) was the Gosling’s Ginger Beer. With the Fever-Tree we had to add sugar to the Moscow Mule. The cocktail was to “spicy” without the sugar to balance it out.

Does Ginger Beer contain Alcohol?

This is the most common question we get asked when cranking this out for friends. The answer is NO! It is non-alcoholic. It is a reasonable question considering the word “beer” is used. But no, the ginger beer doesn’t give the Moscow Mule an extra kick!
