When I want BBQ and don’t want to pull out our smoker I turn to my slow cooker.
While my kids are on Summer break I make this and they eat it for lunch and dinner. Not only is this an easy lunch and dinner idea it is great for potlucks too!
This recipe for Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches is so easy and requires very little work and ingredients. You simply put the tenderloin in the slow cooker and pour BBQ sauce over it. Cook it for 3 -4 hours on high and shred it using 2 forks.
Mix the coleslaw and open a package of buns. Open a bag of potato chips and dinner is served. Very little effort, everyone loves it! WIN!
Make it into an Appetizer!
Use slider buns for smaller servings. I have even used Kings Hawaiian rolls and the sandwiches tasted great. Pictured in this recipe are slider buns. Use slider buns when making these for your kids. This is a more manageable portion for them.
My husband gets the big buns and makes his sandwich extra sloppy. I think he needs a fork to finish up his sandwich. Messy and delicious!
Remove leftovers from your slow cooker and place them in an airtight container. Eat leftovers within 2 days. Clean your slow cooker immediately.
It is so much easier to clean the slow cooker when it is still warm and before the sauce dries to the slow cooker.

- 1.5 pounds pork tenderloin
- 1 Coleslaw Kit, found in the produce section in the bagged salad section
- 1 18 ounce bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1 package slider buns or buns
- Place your pork tenderloin in your slow cooker.
- Pour BBQ sauce over the tenderloin.
- Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours until pork is cooked through and tender.
- Pull pork apart and stir to evenly coat with BBQ sauce.
- Mix together your coleslaw.
- Place heaping scoops of BBQ pork and coleslaw on your slider buns.
- Serve immediately.
